When i was 33 ... i was many times with my father at Vienna ... for his cancer treatment.
And ... maybe into the beginning of the procedures at the private clinic ... i was even one time a week in there.
All ... looked bad.
But ... the passing of time made me see all different.
I was waking up at 4:30 am ... at 7:30 i had the flight ... and at 9:10 i was already into the clinic from there.
I was speaking with doctors... and then from 10 am till 5 pm .... I didn't had what to do ... than wait.
So ... i was leaving the clinic ... and i was walking for hours.
Many times ... alone.
I did that tens of times ... and i've came into a point of even enjoying it.
In those times, i had company, employees ... and i was working 10-11-12 hours a day ... but the Universe arranged as i to leave my office ... by force ... and go to another world.
... at least from time to time.
I couldn't understand the message at that time ... but the
funny thing was that ... there were moments
i was even forgetting why i was doing that.
I totally forgot about the cancer of my father.
... about the treatment.
About all.
And ... i was enjoying it.
Walking on the streets ... visiting lots, lots of places ... drinking a coffee ... or a glass of wine... or few coffees and few glasses of wine ... all was really nice.
Looking back in time .... I remember all with joy.
The treatment from that time had success ... even if it was a lot of chemotherapy sessions and 3 surgeries ... but i only remember the way ... the time was stoping for a day... from my crazy life as a businessman ... and i was enjoying life.
So ... 1 time a week ... or maybe 1 time at 2 weeks .... I had this one day trip to Vienna ... and all was fantastic.
The story itself ... was a drama, cause we've came very late with father at the treatment ... but all succeeded.
He won ... another 7-8 years of life.
And ... i had the chance to have tens of visits to that amazing city ... disconnecting from all.
So ... what looked like a drama ... even if it was a difficult time of my life ... proved to be a blessing.
That was maybe the first time when i've became aware of the importance ... of disconnection.
I mean ... disconnecting from all.
Go .... from time to time ... to another world ... and ....enjoy life.
Of course it was a weird time of my life ... but it was the
beginning of understanding what means to enjoy life in absolutely any circumstances.
... and seeing the beautiful side of the story.
